Popular Tamil actor Shaam, who was last seen in ‘Kaaviyyan’ has been arrested by the Chennai Police allegedly engaging in illegal gambling. The police have arrested 13 people, including the actor, for alleged gambling at his apartment. They were booked under the Gaming Act, and then let off on bail. Reports are that cops reached his home after they received information that the popular actor has been gambling at his residence in Nungambakkam. Among the people arrested are new directors, private firm officials, Hotel owners, businessmen and lawyers as well. There is a buzz that other popular Tamil actors have also been indulging in the illegal activity late at night amid the lockdown. It is being reported that the police had recovered token used for gambling from the flat owned by the actor and an investigation is on. The money and the bundles of cards have also been confiscated by the police. Actor Shaam made his lead debut with ’12B’ in 2001 and has done films in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. He also made his Malayalam debut in 2017 with ‘The Great Father’. He is known for his roles in films like Lesa Lesa, Iyarkai, Ullam Ketkumae and others.
